Alte Gasse
Hohe Straße 107, 44139 Dortmund
The hotel bar Alte Gasse (Old Alley) is a cosy hangout for hotel guests and neighbours who want to enjoy a proper beer and home-style dishes in a casual atmosphere. Football fans refresh themselves before, during and after home matches of Borussia Dortmund with a cold “Dortmunder Durch” and talk shop in good company. Every match of is broadcasted here.
Its origin dates back to 1930 when Bernhard Drees opened the inn “Gasthaus Drees” at the Hohe Straße. After WWII, his daughter Else Riepe took over and converted the attached apartment building into a Hotel. As of 1970, an effort to expand to Herdecke, Lünen, Witten and Unna was driven by the founder’s grandsons Bernd and Hans-Georg Riepe.
Since 2003, the 4th generation has joined the ranks of succession. Ever since the gastronomic departments have been successfully expanded and modernised. The employees are highly competent and hospitable and are committed to the promotion of young talents but also honour tradition at the same time - according to the family slogan: “Where guests become friends”.
At Alte Gasse you will find the artistic work of Jody Korbach.
